About the Blue Line

The Blue Line runs between Downtown Largo and Franconia-Springfield, calling at 28 stations and taking about 63 minutes end to end. It is the line most visitors meet first, because it links Reagan National Airport and Arlington Cemetery to the Mall and downtown.

For much of its route it runs alongside other lines – it shares 18 stations with the Silver Line, 13 stations with the Orange Line and 8 stations with the Yellow Line – so at those stops you can change trains without leaving the paid area or paying a second fare.
