Van Dorn Street is an Alexandria commuter station on the Blue Line, set on Eisenhower Avenue in an area of warehouses, apartment complexes and highway approaches near the Capital Beltway. Its job is simple and it does it well: a park-and-ride lot, bus connections, and a direct Blue Line ride through Alexandria and across the Potomac into the District.
