The short version

This site does not ask you to create an account, and the only personal data you can give us is what you type into the contact form. We do use analytics and third-party advertising, both of which set cookies.

What we collect

If you use the contact form

Your name, email address and message. We use them to reply to you and for nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not sell or share this data. Messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with the matter.

Automatically, when you visit

Standard server logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested, and the time. These are used to keep the site running and secure.

Analytics

We use analytics to understand which pages are useful, in aggregate. This tells us that a page was read; it does not tell us who read it.

Advertising

This site carries third-party advertising, which may include Google AdSense. Advertising partners may set cookies and use them to show ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized Google advertising at Google Ads Settings, and out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.

Legal basis

Where the GDPR applies, our basis is your consent for cookies and analytics, and legitimate interest for keeping the site secure and answering messages you send us.

Your rights

You may ask us for a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our processing it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within one month.

Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have equivalent rights, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Data transfers and security

The site is hosted in the European Union and served over HTTPS through a content delivery network. Some third-party services process data in the United States.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update this page. It was last reviewed in July 2026.
