Reston Town Center station opened with the second phase of the Silver Line, dropped into the median of the Dulles corridor at Reston Parkway. The town center it is named for – a genuine, planned urban district of streets, restaurants, offices and a pavilion that anchors Reston’s civic life – sits about ten minutes north on foot, across the highway on a pedestrian bridge. That gap catches people out, but the walk is straightforward and signposted. The station serves a large employment base of Fairfax County offices along the corridor, with four entrances feeding both sides of the roadway. Ridership is strongly weekday-oriented, with an evening and weekend layer from the town center’s restaurants.

No Metro park-and-ride facility. Garages in the area belong to the town center and the surrounding offices and are priced for visitors and tenants rather than all-day commuters. Wiehle-Reston East one stop east has the commuter parking on this stretch.
The Silver Line only. Eastbound it runs through Tysons, Arlington and downtown Washington and on into Maryland; westbound it continues toward Dulles Airport and the Loudoun County terminus at Ashburn.
