About Court House station
Court House takes its name from what sits directly above it: Arlington County’s justice center and government offices, clustered around a plaza on Wilson Boulevard. The Orange and Silver lines serve the underground platform, reached through four entrances spread around the intersection. Weekday ridership is shaped by county government, law offices and the surrounding apartment towers, with a lighter but steady flow at weekends. It is the second station in from Rosslyn on the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor, which means the ride into downtown Washington is short and the walk to Clarendon’s restaurants is entirely reasonable.
The area around Court House
Courthouse is a compact urban node of county buildings, apartment towers and office blocks, with a plaza that hosts a well-attended weekly farmers market. The commercial offering is more everyday than Clarendon’s – cafes, groceries, a cinema – and residential streets of older houses begin a few blocks north and south. Riders are county employees, lawyers, residents and people walking through between Rosslyn and Clarendon.

- The station name is two words – Court House – while the neighborhood is usually written Courthouse; both refer to the same place.
- There is no Metro parking here; county and commercial garages nearby charge their own rates.
- Rosslyn is one stop east and Clarendon one stop west, and both are comfortable walks if you would rather not wait for a train.

Yes. The county justice center and the main government offices are grouped around Courthouse Plaza directly above the station, a walk of two to three minutes from the faregates. It is the standard transit access for anyone with county business or jury duty.
No Metro park-and-ride facility is provided. Several commercial and county garages operate nearby, but they charge their own rates and fill during weekday business hours. Most riders reach the station on foot, by bus along Wilson Boulevard, or by bike.
One stop east on the Orange and Silver lines, and about fifteen minutes on foot along Wilson Boulevard and Clarendon Boulevard. Many people walk it rather than ride, particularly since Rosslyn s platform is very deep and the escalator ride adds time.
