Naylor Road Station - DC Metro
Green Line - station in Hillcrest Heights, MD.
About Naylor Road station
Naylor Road is a workaday Green Line station just over the District line in Prince George’s County, built into the hillside where Naylor Road meets Branch Avenue. It is a park-and-ride and bus interchange first and foremost, with a few hundred parking spaces and a single station building. There is no destination here for visitors, and the page is honest about that: what the station offers residents of Hillcrest Heights and the surrounding neighborhoods is a direct, reasonably quick ride into Southeast and downtown Washington without dealing with Suitland Parkway traffic. Buses feeding the station do a good deal of the collection work from the residential streets nearby.
The area around Naylor Road
Hillcrest Heights and the neighborhoods straddling the District boundary – mostly single-family homes and garden apartments, with retail spread along Branch Avenue rather than clustered around the station. It is a commuter area, quiet outside peak hours, and the station reflects that. Riders are overwhelmingly local residents traveling into the District.

Naylor Road station FAQ
Yes, around 368 spaces. That is enough for local demand on most days but it does fill during the weekday morning peak. Branch Avenue at the end of the line has far more capacity if you need a guaranteed space.
The Green Line only. It gives you a direct ride north through Anacostia, the Navy Yard area, L’Enfant Plaza and downtown without changing trains, with transfers available to the other lines at the downtown stations.
Maryland – it sits just across the District line in Prince George’s County, in the Hillcrest Heights area. Southern Avenue, the next station toward downtown, sits right on the boundary itself. Either way the ride into central Washington is short and direct on the Green Line.
Not much for a visitor, and it would be dishonest to pretend otherwise. This is a residential commuter station with a park-and-ride lot and bus bays. The nearest shops are along Branch Avenue, and the attractions are all a train ride away in the District.
